Inside of Ancient Egyptian houses there were bright, patterned walls and tiled floors. All houses, even Pharaohs' houses, had no running water. Egyptians loved cleanness, so to clean things they got a wet rag, went to the well to get it wet, and went back to their house to clean. When the Nile flooded it would ruin the houses so they built low platforms. Their were some typical things for commoners to have in their houses that they bought and sold.(compound predicate) Some of the things that included fire were lamps, a hearth, and a cylindrical, baked clay stove. Ancient Egyptians slept in wooden beds with linen. They ate on a platform for eating. Most Egyptians had clothes, a portable lavatory, and a low table. Instead of cabinets wealthy Ancient Egyptians had enjewled cosmetic cabinets. Since Ancient Egyptians did not use pillows because the snakes would kill them they used headrests.
