Some companies that are fair trade (workers get paid fairly) are: MetoWe (online) or the Body Shop. Buying from thrift stores is another way to avoid supporting sweatshops.
It is hard to avoid being pulled into our society's idea or spending and materialism, but thank you for trying.

Officially, sweat shops are illegal in every country of the world. But most brands - especially the bigger ones- get away with it, anyways. Many third world countrys don't enforce this law, and that's why there are so many sweat shops in this messed up world.
