A good amount. It is common logic that rather than harming fellow human beings, we can further advance the science and progress of our species by putting things like experimental testing on lesser animals like rats, gerbils, bunnies, etc. That's how the ecosystem works. If those animals wander into our habitats (cities) then they may be prey for us, the predators

Should animals be tested on?

Animals should not be tested on when it comes to cosmetic products. Unlike the previous person who answered, they clearly failed to recognize that you were asking about make-up products, and not about medicine. Testing for cosmetic reasons does not "save human lives." There are different methods of testing products to determine whether they are safe for use by humans, and animal testing is the inhumane way to do it. Since there are several make-up brands which do not test on animals, it is clear that animal testing for cosmetic purposes is completely cruel and unnecessary.

Expensive Cosmetic Brands are not always better then cheaper brands. But sometimes they are. You need to read the ingredients that are used in the brands and decide for youself.
