Race was probably not an issue for the white communities. It would be extreme racism to vote for a candidate because of skin color. A minority is just as racist if they voted because of skin color.
The people that voted against Obama did so because of his political views. The extreme left pof his position was an issue in our area and why I strongly supported the opposition.
No one truly knows how many voted for Barack Obama because of his race, so one can only make a wild guess towards the matter. One guess would be that the same amount of people who voted for Barack Obama because of his race is equivalent to the amount of people who voted against him because of it.
Nationaly blacks voted 96% for Obama. I'm sure Alabama was close to that.
I'm not sure.
fifty percent
Enough to Win!!
Voted against him.
In 2012, Mr. Obama received 39% of the white vote. According to several political reporters, this is a similar number to what other Democratic presidents have received, including Bill Clinton in 1992 and George McGovern in 1972.
That statistic was never measured by anyone.
96% of blacks voted for Obama.
Exit polls indicates the Hispanic favored Obama over Romney by a margin of 71% to 27%.
No. You cannot label a person as racist because of his colour. Nor can you say that all blacks voted for Obama because he is African-American. Obama is voted as President as he is a highly capable person with good qualities. He would not have emerged a winner if Whites didn't vote for him as well.
It will be several weeks before data is aggregated & processed, but the VOTING stats suggest that 2008 US electorate (not the population!) was 73% "White" 9% "Hispanic" 2% "Asian" 3% "Other" 13% "Black."
