*CAI (Cold Air Induction)
*Downpipe or U-bend delete
*ER Rockers
*Cat-back exhaust
*Performance CAM (cam shaft)
*Performance sparkplugs/sparkwires
*Synthetic motor oil/synthetic Transmission Fluid
*PCM tune
By adding all those modifications to your 3800 you can expect a 50HP increase, the cam is very expensive however. Your cheap and easy to do mods are CAI and Downpipe/U-bend delete, those two will net you a 10HP increase.
You can also Supercharge your car or turbocharge it. For $3,000 or so you can add a supercharger and 40HP 60TQ, this will unlock all supercharger modifications, and you go from a 240 HP supercharged 3800 all the way up to 450HP if you spend enough money.
Turbocharged V6's can go from 200HP at stock form to 750HP in drag form. Basic turbo's are hard to come by for the RWD 3800's, but they do exist.
