What pets are good for children 10-11?

a good pet would be either a guinea pig, as they are friendly and only bite when attacked, some fish because you only have to feed them and clean the tank or if your child is responsible maybe a hamster but be careful hamsters are smaller and can escape easier

I think the best low maintenance pet is a pair of gerbils. I am eleven and I take care of my gerbils all by my self. Other good pets include guinea pigs, rats, leopard geckos, parrots, and parakeets. Bad pets would be mice, tarantulas, bugs, cats, snakes, iguanas, and box turtles.

Lizards, a puppy maybe...kids like to have animals who love human interaction fish are nice but you just watch them you could get a bird if it's hand fed if the bird is not hand fed then make sure the kid is ready to tame it. Hope this helped :)

It depends on how responsible they are, if they are pretty responsible, I would recommend a parakeet, leopard gecko, or a rabbit. If not, probably a hamster, rat, mouse or beta fish.
