What is the Value of 3 cent win the war stamp?

This stamp is still quite common. You should be able to find a nice copy for $0.20. mint . Most collectors would give you a used one for free if you ask nicely -- A dealer would charge 10 cent to 20 cents. Some of these professionals dont read into what your asking. There are two kinds of win the war stamps a violet color, which is the lightest of the two, in perfect very fine condition (new) is worth about 28 cents and used about 13 cents. The other is a purple color and is the darker of the two a used (meaning having a cancel post mark on it) very fine is worth about 422 dollars. It is said that the used purple win the war stamps have a precancel stamp on them. Honostly the easiest way if you have two is to put them side by side the purple one stands out immediately. If you feel you may have one send it to get evaluated, you may luck out and have a 422$ stamp. Of course this price will very tremendously if you try and take it to a dealer, because he will try and pay you the least so he can make the most. Be smart a collector will pay you good money if you have it valuated by a credible organization and if it comes with a certificat from them stating its authentic. hope this helps
