Chlorophyll is a pigment found in plants and algae. It is green in color and is of the utmost importance in the process of photosynthesis.
The green plants with the help f their green liquid pigment can produce its own food with the help of photosynthesis process. It can make glucose and starch eventually and can use it in its own growth and development.
Chlorophyll is the green pigment of plants.
Oxygen is replaced with plants and photosynthesis. In photosynthesis plants take in carbon dioxide and expel oxygen. This is why having plants is important to sustain human life.
Best Answer - Chosen by VotersIngenhousz's hypothesis that photosynthesis produces oxygen by splitting carbon dioxide was refuted about 150 years later by the Dutch-born microbiologist Cornelius van Niel (1897-1985) in America. Van Niel studied photosynthesis in anaerobic bacteria, rather than in higher plants. Like higher plants, these bacteria make carbohydrates during photosynthesis. Unlike plants, they do not produce oxygen during photosynthesis and they use bacteriochlorophyll rather than chlorophyll as a photosynthetic pigment. Van Niel found that all species of photosynthetic bacteria which he studied required an oxidizable substrate. For example, the purple sulfur bacteria use hydrogen sulfide as an oxidizable substrate and the overall equation for photosynthesis in these bacteria is: On the basis of his studies with photosynthetic bacteria, van Niel proposed that the oxygen which plants produce during photosynthesis is derived from water, not from carbon dioxide. In the following years, this hypothesis has proven true. Van Niel's brilliant insight was a major contribution to our modern understanding of photosynthesis
From what i remember, chlorophyll is the green pigment in plants that carries out the process of photosynthesis.
Chlorophyll a is the blue-green pigment in leaves. It is the most common of the pigments and is present in all plants the perform photosynthesis.
Chlorophyll can be defined as the pigment which gives plants their green color and is found in most plants and algae. It also facilitates the process of photosynthesis which allows the absorption of energy from light.
This is a important process. It is happening on plants. pigment of it is chlorophyll.
= Chlorophyll =
Plants NEED it to do photosynthesis.
yes because if the plants have no pigment ,they will became white.
Chlorophyl
chlorophyll
The primary photosynthetic pigment that is found in plants is Chlorophyll A. Chlorophyll A is responsible for giving the plants a green appearance.
pigment Chlorophyll is the green pigment found in plants. Its function is to absorb light for photosynthesis.
