The special tissues that deliver water and nutrients from one part of the plant to another are the xylem and phloem. Aside from moving water around, the xylem also keeps the plant from wilting. The phloem, on the other hand, transports sugar to all parts of the plant.

What are the functions of the tissues in a leaf?

The two functions that are served by vascular tissue is: Xylem - The process of transporting water from the roots to the aerial part of the plant. Pholem -The process in transporting the manufactured food from leaves to all through out the plant

In a plant what type of tissue is responsible for transporting water and nutrients?

there are connective tissues in plants which helps them to transport water and nutrients.xylem helps plants ,in transporting water and minerals . and phloem helps plants to transport food from one place to another.

What dose the stem transport to the flowers and leaves?

The stem transports water and nutrients from the roots to the rest of the plant.

What part of the flower makes transportation?

The vascular tissue in the flower, specifically the phloem, is responsible for transporting sugars and nutrients from the leaves to the rest of the plant.

What mature xylem vessels in a woody plant has?

Xylem vessel is basically for transporting water, if the cells had other parts in it (like cytoplasm, and etc), the vessel will not be able to support itself and will not be strong enough to carry water. Therefore a mature Xylem vessel must not have any other parts of the cells other than the cell wall. Basically a cell without its other part is a dead cell. So the Mature xylem vessel is a dead tissue which is enhanced with thick lignified cellulose walls, to support or give extra strength to the vessels. To summarize it, the Mature Xylem Vessel in a woody plant has only a cell wall, long hollow vessels with thick lignified cellulose walls, which are dead tissues used to transporting water from the roots to all parts of the plant.

What happens to water after a plant uses it Is it just gone forever?

Water helps a plant by transporting important nutrients through the plant. Nutrients are drawn from the soil and used by the plant. Without enough water in the cells, the plants droop, so water helps a plant to stand.
