The plants in the Mcarther river ( also known as the river of Al Dog) are very poisnous plants and belong to a group called the Yomungan species. These plants were a by product of the One Ring, that the Dark Lord Suaron once forged. The pant is known to corrupt people and turn them into Gollum like creatures. In conclusion the plants are other worldy beings and should not be tampered with due to their mythical powers that they process.
