Nothing could have gotten the US out of what was really a worldwide depression triggered by the disintegration of the German economy as they attempted to pay the enormous war reparations demanded by the Treaty of Versaille, except to wait it out. The US could not change what was happening.
The most important thing that FDR did was to try to control panic (which made things worse) allowing people to wait it out. The Great (worldwide) Depression did begin lifting on its own slowly about 1937 and World War 2 ended it completely as the worldwide economy was forced to ramp up suddenly for war production to meet military demand.
Some of FDR actions to control panic were:
aggresively expand japanese territory to secure more resources.
During the Great Depression, commonly used weapons included firearms such as rifles, shotguns, and handguns. These weapons were used for self-defense, hunting, and in some cases, by law enforcement to maintain order. However, it's important to note that the Great Depression was primarily characterized by economic hardship, not widespread violence or warfare.
During the great depression, many people were depressed. Therefore, in order to keep themselves going movies were a way to have some fun. People in the great depression would commit suicide if they weren't making enough money. People like Babe Ruth entertained people during this time too. Sports were another big event.
monetary policy (expanding or contracting the money supply in order to stimulate or retard growth); fiscal policy (expanding or contracting public expenditures and/or revenue); social insurance (Social Security, Unemployment Compensation, etc.); public assistance (ADC - now TANF - etc.).

No, businesses do not have the power to enact laws. Laws are only enacted by legislative bodies such as government bodies or elected representatives. Businesses may, however, have policies or rules that govern their operations and interactions with customers and employees.
Protect producers
The policies a government might use in order to decrease poverty would be to enact a minimum wage. This means that every company or employer must pay a set wage for every hour an employee works and nothing lower. The government might also have social programs in place such as food stamps or welfare in order for people to buy the basics they need to survive.
