Thomas Jefferson once said that two people was a law firm and three a political party. My point is that from the very start of the nation political parties were divided. In 1789 there were the Federalist and the anti federalist. Washington warned that political parties were dangerous because they would only be concerned with reelection and maintaining power. He was right. So, the answer to your question is that there has always been fractions within the parties and they have become what we have today.

Patrick Henry or Samuel Adams
Political parties
With political parties, people often vote for the party, not the politician. With political parties, you also have more "group think", which can result in laws being passed just because a political party is pushing it, and not so much because it is a good idea. When a political party gets the super majority, they pass laws as quickly as possibly in an effort to initiate their political ideals. This means that laws end up being passed without any real scrutiny. It causes an instability in the government, results in inefficient laws, laws that don't represent the people, and government waste.
They wouldn't be, modern democratic ideals are the same as those of the federalist party. Both support a large government, taxes, and protective tariffs. Just look at the word "federalist" it has federal in it. Political parties change over time, however despite what today's republicans will say, today's democrats support the political goals of John Adams, Alexander Hamilton, and John Jay. George Washington was never associated with a party but he did share many of the federalist goals.
Yes, you would capitalize Democrat, Republican, Communist, Socialist, Federalist, etc... and Party if it is referring to a political party.
Anti federalist

most likely federalist party because they fall into manufacturing and bussiness.
If you are referring to the two major U.S. parties - Republican. Of the two, Republican would be closest to any political view of that era.
George Washington is currently the only president to have been elected without any official endorsement by a political party. Generally speaking, Washington's policies reflected a moderate Federalist agenda. He governed for 8 years in total.
There should be a strong federal government.
He was neither. The Republicans and Democratic parties didn't exist when he was president. There were people called Federalist and Antifederalist. Monroe would have been a Federalist. He took part in writing the constitution.
He represented the Democratic-Republican Party. He was actually the founder of the party. Jefferson created the party in opposition to the Federalist Party, that was founded by Alexander Hamilton. The Federalist Party was committed to a fiscally sound and nationalistic government. Jefferson by today's standards was neither a Republican or Democrat. Although he was a big proponent of state's rights, which would make him a natural ally of the Republican Party.
That would most definitely be James Madison
There are two political party in the usa and they are the republican party and the democratic party
