There are far more tourists spending money in Jamaica than any other significant (legitimate) industry provides, and it is safe to say that if all or even some of the visitors to Jamaica went somewhere else (let's say they all go to the Bahamas next year), there would be massively reduced demand, then the economy of Jamaica would suffer.
