Can an infected piercing make you feel sick?

The healing time for the piercing will be longer due to your body trying to fight the cold or malady you are trying to get over. If the piercing is infected as well you should take multivitamins and get plenty of rest to aid in the healing, barring that you should see your doctor depending on the extent of the infection.

In what week could a belly piercing become infected?

A "Navel" piercing can become infected at any time during the healing process. It generally takes a full year for a piercing to be considered "seasoned", this is the point at which it is considered fully healed. Contrary to the misinformation provided by the internet, all piercings take much more time to fully heal than what is indicated by piercers and novices in the industry. Any time the piercing is subjected to a direct impact, snagging, pulling, improper aftercare or the jewellery is changed too soon during the initial healing period the piercing can become infected. Only proper common sense aftercare can prevent a piercing from becoming infected. Proper personal hygiene and washing the piercing daily will ensure a problem free piercing. Ensuring you are not putting "garbage" into your piercing, this would be cheap junk jewellery from mall vendors and locations that don't actually provide body piercing services. Look after your piercing, wear good quality body jewellery and don't touch the piercing with dirty hands, these are the steps to an infection free piercing.

What hapens if your belly button pirsed if it get infected?

Well that's what the aftercare instructions are intended to prevent, if you fail to maintain the piercing it will become infected and become sore, red and discharge green puss and be warm to the touch. Cleaning the piercing daily in the shower with diluted antibacterial soap and lots of warm running water will quickly resolve an infected piercing without the need for oral antibiotics and medical intervention. But you need to clean the piercing daily, that's every day without fail. If the infection is not treated by cleaning the piercing, the infection can go septic and become life threatening. So get it, clean it and stay on top of your piercing. Another thing that is a big problem is touching the piercing after it's been cleaned with dirty hands, once it's cleaned leave it alone and keep your dirty hands off it.
