WW1 alliance system?

The first World War became a general conflict because of the web of alliances among the countries of Europe. Initially there was a Triple Entente of France, Britain and Russia and a Triple Alliance between Germany, Austro-Hungary and Italy. Russia also had alliances with Serbia and other Balkan countries. The assassination of archduke Ferdinand in Sarajevo caused the Austrians to declare war on the Serbians. The Serbians then called upon their allies the Russians to declare war on the Austrians, which they did. The Austrians called upon their allies the Germans who then declared war on the Russians. The Italians reneged on their alliance treaty. Meanwhile the French and British declared war against the Germans and Austrians. So the initial setup was British, French, Serbs and Russians against the Austrians and Germans. Later, the Ottomans (Turks) joined the Germans because they would join any side the Russians weren't on. Ultimately other countries joined the Anglo-French alliance, including the Italians, the Japanese and the Americans. The Russians dropped out after the Revolution in 1917.

What is the contemporary relevance in Pride and Prejudice?

The contemporary relevance in Pride and Prejudice is that people today still hold prejudices against others. It is often human nature to form an opinion of someone upon first meeting them. These prejudices hurt people's chances to communicate and grow as a community. Even in the changing world of today, we can all learn from Elizabeth's mistake and be more careful about the prejudices we sometimes form before we learn the truth about a person.

What or the lyrics of o solo mio in English?

What a beautiful thing is a sunny day, The air is serene after a storm The air's so fresh that it already feels like a celebration What a beautiful thing is a sunny day But another sun, that's brighter still It's my own sun that's upon your face! The sun, my own sun It's upon your face! It's upon your face! When night comes and the sun has gone down, I almost start feeling melancholy; I'd stay below your window When night comes and the sun has gone down. But another sun, that's brighter still It's my own sun that's upon your face! The sun, my own sun It's upon your face! It's upon your face!
