The White House has seen fire twice; the first in 1814 and the second in 1929. James Madison was President during the fire of 1814 when the British set fire to many public buildings in Washington.
I can not find any record that any US president helped put out fires in the capital. This is not a job for any amateur, especially not a sitting president. The British burned much of the capital in 1814 including the White House, but President Madison fled the city before the British got there. Except that one time, there has never been a fire in the living area of the White House.
