Yes, President is a title just like professor. Its acceptable to not capitalize these words when they are not describing someone. EX: the history professor is really difficult. But when it is not a noun, and is however, a pronoun you should capitalize it. With the exception of President and Doctor. These should for the most part always capitalized.
Dixie Professor of Ecclesiastical History was created in 1878.
Chichele Professor of Economic History was created in 1931.
Regius Professor of Ecclesiastical History was created in 1842.
Camden Professor of Ancient History was created in 1622.
Chichele Professor of Modern History was created in 1862.
The Smuts Professorship of Commonwealth History was established in 1952 at the University of Cambridge. It was created to focus on the history of the British Empire and the Commonwealth.
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is the prime minister of Pakistan who once remained president of Pakistan. There is no such other example in the history of Paksitan.
