Charles Manson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Hi's mother had run away from home at the age of 15 and spent the next few decades drinking too much, with periods of time spent in jail. Since his mother couldn't take care of him, Charles spent his youth at the homes of various relatives and often at special reform schools and boys homes.
National Training School for Boys in Washington, D.C., Indianapolis juvenile center, Indiana School for Boys and Gibault School for Boys were some of the boys home he was put in his early life. Then he landed in jail several times before the killings including Natural Bridge Honor Camp, a minimum security institution, Federal Reformatory, Petersburg, Virginia, Federal Reformatory at Chillicothe, Ohio and Terminal Island, San Pedro, California.

I could find no record of it. Murder is not a feredal crime but a state crime and Lompoc is a federal prison so it is not possible for him to serve in that prison.
prison
No. Manson has spent most of his life behind bars but not Alcatraz's bars. The prison closed down in 1963 and I believe Manson was in another state.
According to Charlie, nothing. The reality is Charles Manson was convicted of multiple counts of first degree murder and multiple counts of conspiracy to commit murder. Which in plainspeak means he was in a lot of trouble. Originally given the death penalty, later reduced to life with parole. Although he has tried many times to win his freedom, no parole board in their right minds would let him out.
Charles Manson is currently incarcerated in Corcoran California State Prison.
Among other things Manson was convicted of eight counts of first degree murder and eight counts of conspiracy to commit murder for the August 1969 Tate-LaBianca murders. Originally given the death penalty he is serving a life sentence in Corcoran State Prison in California. Although Manson has tried for parole many times he is unremorseful and basically unchanged and will most likely die in prison. He also might be out on parole next year as of this year he is 76 and still alive google him you'll find a picture
I could find no record of Manson ever being an inmate of Leavenworth Federal Prison.
A vicious man was convicted for murder and was put in prison.
As far as anybody knows, Manson's murders were mainly on the West coast, mostly in Southern California. Manson and his followers wandered up and down the west coast from below L.A. to Washington state. There are always unsolved murders and missing persons that are never found, so who knows. You can't hang a man on speculation.
