Originally given the death penalty he is serving a life sentence in Corcoran State Prison in California. Although Manson has tried for parole many times he is unremorseful and basically unchanged and will most likely die in prison.

What he did to show that he was a leader was he made those dropout kids kill certain people. He made them do that by saying that they were going to be bad influences to the earth, then leading to them killing innocent people.

I personally think that Charles Manson is not a bad person, even though of the crimes he did.
