Like any minority in any country they often see their values underrepresented by the local culture and government. As an example Buddhist trying to live by the Eughfold Path and trying to train their children in its virtues would see the promotion of luxury items, over eating, desire for life, idolization of sexual proclivity, and war as being against their values.

In addition in school systems the local culture (white anglosaxon based) and religion (mostly Christian) is over represented. In schools where other cultures or religions are presented for study the instructors are often poorly informed on the topic.
