It would be an easier question to ask what are not problems that Honduras faces. Honduras has extreme poverty, poor education, insecurity, political and social unstability, and general pollution, just to mention some of the problems.

One of the main issues in Nicaragua is the same issue that many other developing countries are dealing with: Poverty. Over 60% of Nicaraguans are unemployed and much of the power remains in the hands of the few elite, who are not taking much action to improve the welfare of those who really need help!

Guatemala is still recovering from the devastating volcano eruption and the tropical storm Agatha. Everything was destroyed.

First, it was lava, rocks and sand that fell from the sky. Then came the rain framing disaster. The people of Guatemala barely had time to recover from the eruption of Volcano Pacaya on the evening of May 27th, before the tropical storm Agatha slammed into the country hours later. It was a very devastating time.

There were overflowing rivers, collapsed bridges, roads blocked by landslides, swamped fields, homes destroyed, almost 200 people killed and tens of thousands evacuated or displaced, in just a few hours the tropical storm left its mark on 21 of the country's 22 departments.

The flooding from tropical storm Agatha swept away bridges, such as the bridges at El Jicaro, making access to displaced or homeless people even more difficult.

The international airport of was closed since the eruption of the volcano, and it remained closed for another five days. Landslides and collapsed bridges blocked roads and some communities were cut off. The government immediately declared the state of emergency and responded by evacuating and rescuing people, turning schools and public buildings into shelters.
