Why does radiator light go on when car is cold but only stays on for 2 minutes?

the light is triggered by a switch inside the overflow bottle, If the coolant level is low when the engine is cold, it will trigger the switch to turn on the light until the cooant warms up and expands. The hot water expands and flows through the radiator cap and into the overflow bottle and shuts the light off. Then once the engine is shut off and cools down, the coolant will flow back into the engine again and empty the overflow bottle. so if the light is on, you need to fill the overflow bottle to the "cold" mark.

When I drive the car the anitfreeze is disapering and I dont know where it is going... and Its not mixing with the oil in the motor...?

Most cars coolant systems are designed with a vent valve of some kind which allows hot gas to escape in order to avoid preasure buildup. If there is something wrong with your coolant system (radiator blockage, etc.) and your engine is running hot, you would lose cooant in the form of evaporated gas when you drive. Its also possible you have a small leak somwhere in the system, which is only leaks when under preasure (when the engine is running).

Why would antifreeze leak from intake?

I had that happen once. That's a bad thing. That's either cracked head, blown head gasket, or cracked block. Not necessarily. The intake on some vehicles, especially late models, the coolant circulates thru the intake manifold. You could have a leaking hose or leaking manifold gasket. You would have other problems like cooant in the oil or oil in the coolant if you had a cracked head/block or a bad head gasket.

Why does my aurora overheat so much?

It may be likely that the NorthStar Engine in your vehicle is experiencing a coolant leekage about the head that allow the coolant into the combustion champer and out the exhaust system. With the consequent loss of coolant, the vehicle overheats. With the enging and coolant cool (for safety purposes) check the coolantant level in the resorvoir. If after periodic refils you find it low, this indicated a coolant leek. If leakage is not readily visable under hard or around engine, the cooant may liley be going through the exhause. This can be seen by whitish smoke at the tailpipe and a sweetish smell of the antifreeze via the tailpipe. The Aurora may be a classic and classics need attention. Attend to the enging and go for the classic status.

Could a 1993 Saturn SC1 be blowing only cold air because of a faulty water pump?

No!! It could be that you have air in your cooling system and/or you need to flush your heater core.Possible but highly unusual. Water pump inpellers will typically outlast the bearings. There is a variety of possibilities that include low coolant, air pocket, bad thermostat, restriction in the flow of the coolant such as in the heater core.Is your car also overheating? If it is than more than likely it is the water pump. If not your water pump could be ready to go up. A faulty water pump will cause definitly cause your heater to blow out cold air.it could also be many other things such as bad thermostat, heater core, leak in cooling system, or a clog somewhere in cooling system. I would replace the thermostat first because it is the most likely thing that is wrong and a good place to start. Also it will probobly be needing replacement anyway. How to test your water pump There is a small hole on the side of the water pump, if your water pump isn't pumping, this hole will blow out and you will notice fluid leakage from it.If that's the case, its your water pump 100%Also your car will blow cold air for several reason yes, but you can put big money on one of two things.1. Bad water pump2. Your engine cooant isn't circulating (leakage or otherwise)ben Hawkins
