By disease I suppose you mean a computer virus or a bug, because computers cannot contract biological diseases as they are not biological themselves.

The program used to protect against viruses, bugs and other malware is called an Anti-virus. Firewalls also help stop malware from jacking your computer.

These types of programs are called antivirus and antimalware programs. They are distinct classes of programs. Anti-malware programs can scan your computer for software which may cause negative effects (like serving you advertisements, fake virus warnings, changing your search engine and start page, etc) and an anti-virus program can be used to prevent your computer from experiencing problems which may cause the computer to fail to function or do bad things like steal login information for the websites you visit. For a high level of protection, you should have one antivirus and one antimalware program on your computer at all times. I would not recommend installing multiple antivirus programs as these can interfere with each other.

For Anti-Malware, I recommend "Spybot Search and Destroy" or "MalwareBytes Anti-Malware" (the free version works well enough if you remember to scan the computer every few weeks, but the premium version can destroy malware before it is installed on your computer)

For antiviruses, I recommend "Avast Antivirus" (<- there is a free version although it isnt as good as the pay version), "BitDefender Antivirus 2015" or "ESET NOD32" (no free version of this software is available, although there is a trial version)
