What grades of biofuel is there?
There are several different types of bio diesel. These are pure bio diesel, B5 blend, B20 blend, and B100 blend. B5, B20, and B100 refer to the amount of derv blended with the fuel.

Biofuel can be used in place of regular diesel in most places. B5, B20, and B30 fuels can be used with no modification to existing fuel tanks.
Can you add oil if you put gas in a diesel engine?
Putting gas in a diesel engine will not be fixed by adding oil. The fuel needs to be drained or pumped out if the mixture is too high. If only a few liters of gasoline were put into a tank of diesel, adding a diesel fuel conditioner could help. Gasoline will damage diesel fuel pumps and injectors because it does not have the lubricating properties of diesel. The fuel pump and injectors need lubrication from the diesel fuel or they will seize up and be destroyed.
Is it safe to put on-road diesel in a tractor?
Yes. The difference is that off road fuel contains purple dye. If the tractor is older you may want to add some tranmission oil to the fuel as new Low Sulpher Diesel does not lubricate as well as the older diesel. As well you can add a diesel fuel conditioner which helps restore the lubrication properties of the fuel.

So check with the next diesel car owner you meet, it should be pretty close to the same, HP for HP, of course. (eg: an 18 wheeler rig runs way shorter than a Jetta TDI on the same gallon of fuel!)
