That is still a mystery. If we knew that answer, we could free the human race of Cancer. Every one's immune system works to protect our bodies from disease and certain mutations of cells. Cancer is thought to be an immune disorder as opposed to a disease of it's own. More and more science is pointing to the immune system as the weak point in a cancr victims system. Certain cancers like many Non Hodgkin's Lymphomas are treated with Immunotherapy. B Cell Lymphoma and a few others are treated with a drug called Rituximib or Rituxan. It isn't "chemo" as one would expect. No hair loss, very well tolerated with few disastrous side effects and very effective.
