the province of Michigan is located in the Great Lakes region of the Midwestern United States of America. Michigan is the ninth most populous of the 50 states of the United States.
Minnesota has over 10,000 lakes... too many to name. It has dozens of rivers, the most notable is the Mississippi River. It also borders Lake Superior, one of the Great Lakes.
Quebec has the most lakes of any size at over 1 million, followed by Ontario, then ManitobaAlthough Manitoba Has more lakes and water per kilometre than any other province. That statistic is why the province is referred to as the "Lake Province" in various circles.
Only one province borders Alaska: British Columbia, which borders the "panhandle" in the southernmost part of Alaska. Most of Alaska borders the Yukon Territory, but this is not officially a province.

The state of Wisconsin borders two of the five Great Lakes that naturally separate the United States and Canada. Lake Michigan borders the state's east coast, and Lake Superior borders a fairly small piece of northern Wisconsin, but includes the city of Superior. Lake Superior has a maximum depth of 1,332 feet and Michigan 923 feet.
The Great Lakes are sometimes called the Freshwater Sea or the Inland Sea, but most of the time they are just called the Great Lakes.
