If the sire and dame have any Allergies, or what kinds of physical problems run within the breed. Some particular breeds have physical problems that run through the whole breed. When the puppy was weaned, what food it is now eating, has it been wormed, how many pups in the litter, has house training been started or is it crate trained. Watch the puppy play and move around that will also tell you a lot about him/her. Is it aggressive? shy? timid? look at the behavior the pup displays. This will also help you in how to train him/her and how it may act with other animals/people in the family.
