There are three points of cell theory...
1.All living things are composed of cells.
2.Cells are the basic units of structure and function in living things.
3.All cells are produced from other cells.
But now, we accept 2 new criteria:
4. DNA is a blueprint which contains the all of the information of the living organism.
5. The cell is the site of ALL biochemical reactions.
The four parts of modern cell theory include all known living things are composed of one or more cells and new cells arise from pre-existing cells by division. All cells are basically similar in chemical makeup and metabolic activities, the activity of an organism is due to the activities and interactions of all of its cells.
-cells are the basic unit of life
-cells come from pre-existing cells
-cells are the building blocks of life
-cells contain genetic material(this one is rarely stated though)
There are three main parts to the cell theory. The first is that all living things are made up of cells. The second is that the cell is the smallest living thing that can perform all the functions of life. The last is that all cells must come from pre-existing cells.
The cell theory or cell doctrine was put forward by Matthias schlieden, a German botanist andTheodore schwann, a British zoologist. This theory however did not explain as to how new cells were formed. Rudolf virchow(1855)first explained that cells divided and new cells are formed from pre existing cells(Omnis cellula-e cellula). the cell theory as understood today is
* all living organisms are composed of cells and products of cells.
* all cells arise from pre existing cells
1. Cells come from preexisting cells
2. Cells are the basic unit of life
3. Cells are either uni celled or multicellular
1. All living things are composed of cells
2. Cells are made from other cells
3. Cells are the basic unit of organization and structure in life

That statement is part of cell theory, which is summarized as follows:Living organisms are composed of one or more cells.Cells are the most basic unit of life.Cells come from other living cells which preceded them.
All life actives take place in cells #one answer
The scientific theory behind cell theory is that it explains the fundamental properties of all cells. The cell is the basic unit of all living organisms.

The cell theory applies to all organisms.
The smallest unit of life is the cell. All of life is composed of cells. This is one part of the cell theory.
