I have the same quad and we're putting 10w40 in it...seems the oil caseing and the rear diff are one.....
you forgot to say what transmission. 3p 4p or 5sp all are diff. answer, drain then fill to mark see owner manual, free at all suz, dealers. the 3sp is the dog, it has no drain, so need hUGE drain pan.
Remove the diff cover.
on the ground, what is the safe method to drop diff from 1996 statesman
On the upper right (passenger for a left hand drive vehicle) side of the differential, there's a plug. IIRC, you need a 3/8" drive ratchet to remove it. That's where you add your diff fluid.
Not standard.
yes the tranny oil and diff oil are seperate, typically there is a drain plug and a fill plug located on the diff usually a 3/4" combo wrench will do the trick
bearings or diff. gears worn out.
that is the tone wheel pickup for the RWAL rear wheel antilocking brake system
Place a drain pan under the differential. Loosen the bolts, but don't take the diff cover completely off. Let the fluid drain into the drain pan. When it stops draining, take the diff cover off. Siphon out the remaining fluid from the bottom of the diff. Scrape off the remaining gasket. Place the new gasket on, with some RTV. Put the diff cover back on and tighten it. Remove the fill plug. Fill to the bottom of the fill plug. Replace the fill plug.
