Native Americans, slaves and women were the groups that were unrepresented in the Declaration of Independence. Even though the United States was supposedly born in the name of freedom and equality, it took many years for those groups to be granted equal rights.

I think that the native Americans were not invited to sign it, because they were still looked down upon by the new '' Americans". So they didn't want them to sign it. This is just a theory though.

Goodness, the Declaration of Independence didn't address the need of slaves, women, and definitely not Native Americans. Since the first encounter with European colonists the population of Native Americans had been impacted by environmental terrorism, discrimination, and death through various means. Their ancestral lands were stolen from them and just to survive many tribes had to move. Jefferson wrote that " all men were created equal " but he meant white land holding men nothing more nothing less.
