A savannah region refers to a vast flat land which is usually covered with grass. This region barely has any trees or very few of them.
Actually very few live in the Great Plains compared to places like New York or LA.. Today there are vast areas that haven't changed much in a 100 years.

The Great Plains are very dense, long, and short grasses. There are no trees around and it has a very gradual slope to it, but always seems flat.
