Not at all. There are some common climates, such as arid and semi-arid, tropical rainforest and dry plains, but Africa is a whole continent with a much larger variety of climates (over 29 different types) than Mexico's (around 13 types).

Due to its topography and extensive territory (1,972,550 square kilometers or 761,606 square miles, ranked 14th largest worldwide) Mexico has one of the world's most diverse climates, including arid, semi-arid, tropical wetlands, temperate grasslands, tropical savanna, subtropical highlands and scrub-land.
