Tibet was never a Hindu area. Before it was Buddhist, its people followed the indigenous Bön religion.

The main languages spoken by Himalayan people vary depending on the region. In Nepal, the predominant language is Nepali, while in Bhutan it is Dzongkha, and in parts of India, it can be Hindi or regional languages like Sherpa in the Everest region. Additionally, many Himalayan communities speak languages specific to their ethnic group, such as Tibetan in Tibet.

They suffer a lot. No autonomy, no freedom of speech and religion for those Tibetians living in Tibet, China. Those are in exile in India (incld. Dalai Lama), they have no land of their own. Just are refugees.
