In the Buddhist religion, Nirvana is the state of eternal bliss and liberation from the cycle of birth and death. It is the ultimate goal that individuals strive to attain through enlightenment and spiritual practice.
Everything, Nirvana is not. Anything that can be experienced, Nirvana is not. No object of contemplation, Nirvana is.
Buddhism, Vishnuism, Krishnaism
Nirvana is the simple word Buddha uses to describe what we would call Enlightenment. Of course, our word does not suffice as Nirvana is inexplicably incomprehensible, and is yet achievable. The religion is Buddhism.
Nirvana in the Hindu religion means having a connection and being at peace with Brahman. Brahman means the reality of the world.
