Roman Catholicism is the official religion, but most people refer to their religion as voodoo.
The predominant religion in Haiti is Christianity, with a majority of the population identifying as Roman Catholic. There is also a significant presence of Protestant denominations, particularly Pentecostalism. Voodoo, a syncretic religion blending elements of African traditions with Christianity, is also practiced by a segment of the population.

Haitians practice Catholicism and protestantism. In fact, in Haiti one is free to practice any religion one feels appealing. Some Haitians practice voodoo, but not openly. I would like to demystify the thoughts that all Haitians practice voodoo. That is not true at all. Just because some people believe in superstition does not mean they practice voodoo.
