A Catholic entering into a mixed marriage (the other spouse is not Catholic but is baptized) must promise to raise the children Catholic, and the spouse must be aware of this promise.Wiki User

Ask your parents to explain why they believe what they do. Talk to the priest at the church you attend. Give the religion an opportunity to "win" you over so to speak. If after that you legitimatley disagree, then your parents should respect your wishes not to subscribe to the Catholic faith. Hope all goes well.
