Prophet Muhammad (Allah praise upon him and grant him peace) did not found Islam. He was the Chosen One of intermediary between Allah (the Great One) and us. To be exact, we do not qualify to look at Allah at His original form so, therefore, He created twenty five Messengers and selected one of them to become the Chosen One and that was Prophet Muhammad (APUHaGHP) and tasked him with the Final Testament, Qur'an.
