I think that my responsibilities as a gynecologist are to take care of woman.
When you are confirmed you take upon the responsibilities of being your religion. If that means making sure you attend church, spread the word of God, follow Jesus' footsteps (or whoever you follow), remembering the rules or guidelines ( beliefs) of your religion and so on. Basically you are saying that i am ready to be an adult and take the responsibilities of my religion. The effect on you would mean you have to follow through with all of the expected things expected of you. It means that you are ready to grow in your faith and that you accept all the challanges that come with it and that you are confirming that you are ready for that. Again the effect on you would mean that you will put forth your best effort towards what is expected of you.
