Parents shouldn't be responsible for adult children.
Filial responsibility laws are state laws that require adult children to financially support their parents. However, these laws are not commonly enforced and vary in scope and application across states.
In Indiana, parents have legal responsibility for their children until they reach the age of 18. After turning 18, individuals are considered legal adults and are responsible for themselves.
adult children's avoid parents because of the mostly parents interface there lives
No, the parents are no longer responsible for adult children. In most places 19 is an adult. A few have the age set at 21. Most feel some responsibility, but there is no legal obligation. The laws considers them an adult and will treat them as such.
Responsibility is an adult trait. Children acquire them in stages as they mature.
Children are naturally narcissists. But, they are kept in check by parents and they eventually develop a sense of empathy, honesty and a sense of responsibility. Adult versions don't have that .....a sense of empathy, honesty or a sense of responsibility. It is why they are what they are.
Is there counseling for the parents of drug addicted, adult children that refuse help?
No. The ability to procreate is not a condition of reaching the age of majority. Unless you get a court order declaring you emancipated, you remain the responsibility of your parents until you reach 18. And your two children remain your responsibility until they reach 18.

let them live their life. you can't make them take responsibility. only they can. =]
No. when we have kids it is our responsibility to raise them. It is not the responsibility of others to raise our children. Society needs parents to take full responsibility for their offspring and those in their charge. Teachers are there to educate our children not be mommies and daddies to them. We ought to back up teachers in their roles as educators. Eventually that child will be a young adult and hopefully they will be a positive contributing member of society, knowing right from wrong and role definitions. So be a parent and full fill your role. Our children will thanks us ( not literally ) in the future.
