We have none. Me and my friends walked into a store once and they called security on us because of the way we dressed and talked, even though we all have over 4.0 GPA's. People are just to judgemental these days.

Teens do not have the legal rights of adults but they do have rights. They have the right to a safe environment, good nutrition, healthcare and education. Parents are required to meet those basic needs and cannot force a child who is still a minor to leave the home. They are entitled to due process. Children with special needs and disabilities are entitled to special benefits and protections under the law. Children have a limited right to free speech in school unless their speech harms others. Teens have the right to work under some state laws but those laws vary from state to state.

The answer to this question is a matter of opinion. Everyone should be given rights, but what those rights are is different for each individual.

Why don't teenagers have rights?

Teenagers DO have rights- but probably not the rights you are thinking of. Teens have the rights not to be subject to crimes, and to be cared for- that means fed, clothed, sheltered, educated and provided with needed medical care. What they do NOT have are the rights to make many decisions for themselves. For instance, you do not have the right to go into debt, sign a contract, enlist in the military or get married. The reason is you are not yet legally an adult, and have limited responsibility for your actions. And you have not yet learned to make good choices in life. However, this gets fixed with time. Be patient- you will have a whole lifetime of rights ahead of you- and the responsibilities that come with them.
