Well obviously they had alters for him and shrines. I believe His alter was built first. Human offering may or may not have been specifically for him, but they did do that sort of thing. He was head of The gods in roman and Greek mythology. The Romans basically ripped off the Greeks by stealing their Gods and giving them different names. Jupiter = Zeus; Pluto = Hades Posiedon = Neptune etc. they have the same powers and domain but different names.
