He grew up to become a great cowboy, using snakes as lassos and whips. No other person could ride his horse, Widow-Maker. Pecos shot all the stars out of the sky, except for one lone star. Pecos finally proposed to his girlfriend, Slue-Foot Sue, and they got married. She insisted on riding Widow-Maker, but he bucked her off and she hit her head on the moon. She bounced and bounced as Pecos Bill tired to lasso her, but she finally came to rest on the moon. He was so heart-broken he went back to live with the wolves.
