Excretion is the removal of waste products made by the body. When you breathe out your lungs are removing waste carbon dioxide made by your cells. This is part of excretion. The carbon dioxide is made by the process of respiration in your cells. Respiration is the release of energy from food. When glucose sugar is respired, energy is released and water and carbon dioxide are produced: glucose + oxygen ---> water + carbon dioxide + ENERGY The oxygen which is used in respiration is taken into the body by the lungs when you breathe. The excretory system is not really a true system of the body. It is a function that is shared by several different systems. The lungs excrete mostly carbon dioxide, the GI tract excretes solid wastes as feces, the kidneys excrete urine, and the skin excretes wastes in sweat.
Excretory means basicly to collect waste products and remove it from the body... so when u breath, u breath in O2 (oxygen) and u breath out Co2 (carbon dioxide). so u are removing Co2
Lungs exhale carbon dioxide enriched, moistened, and warmed air which has lost some oxygen to the blood but the lungs also help you move you hand right and left because there is a diaphragm under the lungs that helps control movement. A diaphragm is a large organ that is produced from the brain. The holy pant are right

The lungs (and gills) of organisms constantly secrete gaseous wastes from the bloodstream as a regular part of respiration. The lungs, along with the respiratory system as a whole, play a vital role in the removal (via gaseous excretion) of Carbon Dioxide (CO2), a byproduct of cellular respiration and cellular metabolism, among the countless other functions performed by any given cell in any LIVING organism.

What is the role of the digestive system in maintaining humans as functioning organisms?

The excretory and respiratory system do, in fact, work together. The excretory system is in charge of excreting waste products. Carbon-dioxide is a waste product which the lungs, a part of the respiratory system, excrete.

How big is the excretory system?

The excretory system transports waste out of the body that is produced by homeostasis. The parts of the body that are involved in this are sweat glands, liver, lungs and the kidney system.
