Women had no role considering that there were no womens rights only men were allowed in
what was the women's role in the military
Women have held various roles in the military which varied depending on where they were as well as the era. Women have been nurses, medics, secretaries, pilots, and have also engaged in combat.
It gave them the chance to be or work in the military
Familial and professional are the roles which women are supposed to assume. Women nowadays have the possibility of experiencing marriage and parenthood as well as pursuing careers in many fields, including construction, engineering, and the military.
As in Korea and WWII, women in Vietnam were volunteers in both the military and civilian employment, with the majority of their effort addressed to the medical field.
Because men were the best on what they thought, and woman did not have rights
As far as I know there weren't any. The Russians had women in combat roles, but I do not think the US did. Sorry, there were women in the US military, but not in combat roles is what I was trying to say....
The way the women's roles and opportunities in the 1950s differ from women's roles today is in the 1950s women roles was mostly raising a family and housekeeping. Today, women play a part in public offices and workplace and person growth/community.
Women were always active in the military, even as early as the late 1700s. During the Revolutionary War, women served roles as cooks, nurses, and seamstresses. Women served during the Civil War and were recruited in World War I and II.
Currently, women are not allowed to serve in the US Navy SEALs. However, there has been discussion about potentially opening up these roles to women in the future. As of now, women play critical roles in many other areas of the military, serving as pilots, engineers, medics, and in numerous support positions.
