Three things about Passover?

The Passover Hagaddah (or Story) states that "Whoever does not say these three things has not fulfilled his obligation: Pesach, Matzah, Maror." Pesach is the pascal lamb offering that is no longer brought as the Temple in Jerusalem no longer stands. In the days of the Temple, thousands of lambs were slaughtered on the eve of Passover to be eaten that night along with the matzah and the maror, the bitter herb (traditionally, romaine lettuce or horseraddish). Today we eat only the matzah and maror.

What does Golgotha mean in the Easter story?

Golgotha is where the crucifixion scene happened on the eve of the Passover (some translations of the bible replace the word Passover with Easter). Talmud - Sanhedrin 43a On the eve of the Passover Yeshu was hanged. Passover (Easter) is the day on which the Israelites sacrifice their Lambs. It is in rememberance of their being freed from 430 years of Egyptian slavery. Golgotha is only about 200 meters from where the Passover Lambs were slain and hung, on the north side of the Temple Altar. The Easter story also includes his resurrection, which happened probably less than two hunderd meters south of Golgotha in the Sepulcher of Joseph from Arimathea. (east of the Altar, which was always used for placing the ashes (his corpse) Lev. 1,16. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, in which was never man yet laid. Joh 19,41

When did the Jews begin celebrating Seder?

In biblical times, all the way back before the Babylonian exile, and possibly even during the wanderings in the desert. Passover was one of the 3 pilgrimage holidays, when all Jews (or at least the men) were to go to Jerusalem. On the eve of Passover, before sunset, each family was to bring a lamb to the Temple for slaughter, and then take most of the meat home for dinner. The Seder meal began as the festive meal where the Passover sacrifice was eaten "with unleavened bread and bitter herbs." After the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem, the Seder meal became a way to remember the sacrificial system, and over the years, a fixed liturgy for the meal was hammered out and formalized, remembering not only the meal itself but the discussion among the Pharisees about how to celebrate the meal.

Why was Jesus given wine with myrrh at Golgotha?

Since the earliest days of the temple the animal to sacrifice was given a drink as it arrived on the north side of the altar where it was killed. Right after it drank, it was killed. They made the animal drink from a gold cup. Babl. Talmud Tamid 29a This was foretelling Jesus being offered wine mixed with myrrh. On the eve of the Passover, when the Passover was on a Friday, the evening daily sacrifice would happen earlier than normal, about noon time. Jesus arrives at Golgotha about noon time. (third hour Mk 15,25) On this very special Passover Jesus is given a drink at the same time the animal is given the drink. Whether the animal drank the wine or not depends on the animal itself, but Jesus didn't. This also fulfilled the prophecy: They gave me also for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. Ps 69,21 All those gathered on Golgotha had a view of the temple court as well as the north side of the altar. (see link below)
