Anybody who knows much about atoms and is willing to ignore virtual particles.
The credit for actually discovering this should probably go to Rutherford. (Or Rutherford, Geiger, and Marsden ... Geiger and Marsden actually did the experiment in Rutherford's lab, and Rutherford was the one who explained the results.)
Ernest Rutherford discovered that atoms contain mostly empty space, with his gold foil experiment. Bhor discovered that the electrons are not randomly placed around the nucleus.

That atoms are mostly empty space and they have a positively charged nucleus.
The alpha particle scattering experiment by Ernest Rutherford (1911) demonstrates that more than 99.9% of an atom contains empty space.
he discovered the atom was mostly made up of empty space
They are very dense.
Atoms consist of three smaller particles called as proton, electron and neutron.Atom of every element has these three particles only, just their no. differ from element to element.Added:However there is one exception: The first smallest and lightest one, Hydrogen (symbol H) does NOT have a neutron at all, just ONE proton and ONE electron.
Ernest Rutherford.... The Great Scientist.Hope this helped! :D
The body is made of bones, fat, cells, blood, and atoms. Because of atoms your body is mostly empty space The body is made of bones, fat, cells, blood, and atoms. Not likely. Atoms are mostly empty space.
Rutherford, with his gold foil experiment.
atoms are mostly empty space
Ernest Rutherford mostly believed in that it was mostly empty space with positively charged atoms.
Yes, this is essentially true. Well over 99.9% of the mass of any atom is in the nucleus. The electrons in their orbitals around that nucleus actually determine the spacial volume that the atom occupies. And on an atomic scale, the distance from the nucleus to the outer boundaries of the electron cloud is enormous. The atom is mostly empty space, and, therefore, anything made up of atoms is mostly empty space.
All atoms are mostly empty space, as the electromagnetic repulsion between atomic nuclei keep them from reaching each other (except under extreme pressure, as in the center of stars).
> because he is smart lol TROLL
that the atom mostly consisted of empty space.
