1. Close to any emergency exits.
2. Away from engines.
3. Close to the rear.
In terms of price, generally all seats in "economy" are equally priced, and different flights have different prices.
Singapore Airlines has been voted as the BEST airline (world wide) on a number of occassions for service, value and comfort. As such, I would imagine their economy class seating on the 777 would be as good (or better) than on their 747's.

Singapore Airlines is definently one of the better ones. Singapore Airlines is part of the Airline group called the "Star Alliance." The Star Alliance is BY FAR the best Airline group in the world. You wouldn't go wrong with taking any of the airlines in Star Alliance since they are all the best. I would personally recommend Lufthansa as the best, but also Singapore and Emirates as very good also.
