The most serious kind of seizure is a Grand Mal, and if a seizure itself is going to kill someone, it would have to be an extremely serious Grand Mal seizure. However the vast majority of Grand Mal seizures are not serious enough to cause serious damage, so people would not regard them as being a risk of death.
