A snake's tongue is a 'sensory organ'. Each side of the tongue is monitored separately by the brain - enabling the snake to determine which way to go in search of food.
It's a 'sensory organ'. It basically takes the form of two 'pockets' in the roof of the snakes mouth. When the snake flicks out its tongue, microscopic scent particles stick to it. Withdrawing the tongue back into its mouth, the tips are inserted into the Jacobson's organ, and the snake's brain decodes the information.

The largest sense organ in the human body is the skin. The skin is not only the body's largest organ but also a complex sensory organ. It contains a vast network of receptors for various sensory experiences, such as touch, pressure, temperature, and pain. These sensory receptors allow us to perceive and respond to our external environment, making the skin a crucial sensory organ for our survival and well-being.
