The Bible teaches that you must believe in Jesus to be saved...
Believe that Jesus was crucified for your sins (without the shedding of blood, there can be no forgiveness - Hebrews 9:22);
Believe that Jesus rose from the dead and is alive today ("and if Christ has not been raised...your faith also is vain...your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins" - 1 Corinthians 15: 14, 17).
John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."
If you truly believe in Jesus and have been saved, you should confess that he is Lord, should "repent" of your sins (determine to avoid committing those sins), and be baptized in water:
Romans 10:9-10 says "For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved."
Acts 2:38 says "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
